He has converted his Tiger 100 and Tiger Cub to run exclusively on ordinary unleaded fuel. For those who are looking for that elusive lost oil pressure he offers a crankshaft and con rod job, as well as his famous timing cover oil seal conversion. Hughie has also uses a rig for test running rebuilt engines to ensure that all is well before they go back to their owners. All of the work that he is asked to do, whether a total engine rebuild or a simple crankshaft regrind is firstly washed, dismantled, inspected and then written up, clearly defining the findings. The customer is provided with a firm price for the job, together with a copy of the working notes so that he knows not only how much it is going to cost, but also exactly what he is getting for his money. The work does not proceed until the customer gives his go ahead.
Engines and gearboxes are usually completed within the month, even quicker if no undue problems occur, and as well as the completely rebuilt engine, the customer also gets back all of the worn out and replaced parts.
